About London Lore

London Lore opened its doors in 2018 in a narrow Georgian townhouse on Bloomsbury Way, a few minutes' walk from the British Museum. What began as a modest second-hand bookshop has grown into one of London's most trusted sources for rare books, first editions and literary collectibles.

We source our stock from estate sales, private collections and auctions across the British Isles. Every item is authenticated, catalogued and graded by our team before it reaches the shelves — or the website.

What We Do

Rare books — First editions, signed copies and out-of-print titles from the 19th century to the present day.

Literary curios — Antique inkwells, vintage typewriters, author correspondence and one-of-a-kind memorabilia.

Collector services — We help collectors locate specific titles and build curated collections. No request is too obscure.
